Wright Tool Company was founded by Maurice C. Wright and Annburr Wright in Saginaw, Michigan in January 1948. They used their basement as a warehouse and Maurice sold OTC tools from the trunk of his car. In November of 1949 the couple moved their business to a location on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan and opened their first storefront. As the company grew, additions were made to the building until they moved to a larger location in February of 1970. Today, Wright Tool Company is located in Warren, Michigan and has evolved into a tool and equipment distributor, utilizing engineering and manufacturing while serving all industries, institutions and service trades including the United States government as an approved supplier to the military.
